Our Family of Officers from 2nd Kuching Company, The Boys' Brigade
The Past & The Present
The formation of 2nd Kuching Company, The Boys' Brigade in Malaysia, was not a mere coincidence. It was God who stated this good work. This company has touched many Boys' and Officers' lives. It has become the reason for many lives' transformation. It was founded in August 1967, under the sponsorship of Chin Fu Methodist Church, Jalan Nanas, Kuching. The founding members were led by the late chaplain, Pastor Reverend William Aylott, under the captainship of Mr. David Ho. A year later, a Flute & Bugle band was formed.
2nd Kuching Company celebrated it's 15th Anniversary in 1982 where the late Reverend William Aylott witnessed and graced the occasion. 1984 marked another milestone for 2nd Kuching Company as it came under the sponsorship of Trinity Methodist Church which moved to the present premise at No. 57, Ellis Road.
The strength during those years were about 40 members. In 1988, the formation of platoons in various schools led to the increase of membership. This move was significant as it was the first time 2nd Kuching Company was awarded the top recruiting company among all companies in Malaysia. At present, we have a total number of more than 200 members represented by our platoons are SMK Green Road, SMK Kuching Town, SMK Lumba Kuda, SJK Chung Hua No. 3 & SJK Chung Hua No.5.

To provide exposure and On-The-Job training for BB Sarawak Officers in conducting Camping / Expedition courses.

Greetings, There will be an outing to Pasir Pandak on this coming Saturday (24/02/2007). The following is the information regarding the outing. Date : 24 February 2007 Time : 7.00 a.m. ~ 2.00 pm. Venue : Pasir Pandak Attire : Company T-shirt All members are required to wait at their respective schools at 7.00 a.m. where a bus will come and pick them up. At around 1.30 p.m., the bus will send the boys back to their respective schools. Therefore, members are advised to ask their parents to wait at their respective schools at around 2.00 p.m. Please do remember to bring some extra T-shirts for the trip. p/s Squad leaders, please inform the boys to bring RM 1 on the day of the trip to pay for the expenses on Chinese New Year Gathering.
